Buying groceries on vacation just got easier for people coming to the Bigfork area.

This time of year many people come to the area from out of town for extended trips and family get-togethers. And, many of them want to know one thing: “Can we get our refrigerator stocked?”

Of course, the answer is still no, but technology is changing things. Many grocery stores now participate in online ordering, including Super 1 and Smith’s in Kalispell, Safeway, Albertson’s, and Rosauers. You choose what you want and then schedule the date and time to pick it up. In Bigfork, Harvest Foods now has online shopping which allows you to do this exact thing. You can explore their Click-N-Pick website here after signing up.

It is a major time saver. You can choose what you want in your fridge and cupboards over several hours or days, so you can plan it out before you even travel and then not have to worry about going while on vacation. All you have to do is order, arrive at the scheduled time with your confirmation number, and pick it up without even leaving your car.

At Harvest Foods there is a $30 minimum order as well as a curbside pickup fee of $7.99. A $30 minimum is also required of customers at Super 1 in Kalispell with a fee of $5 added. Smith’s in Kalispell, meanwhile, has no order minimum but does have a service fee of $5 after utilizing the service three times.

All you have to do is order, arrive at the scheduled time with your confirmation number, and pick it up.
